CTC Birthday Picnic

As there were no national Birthday Rides in 2007, we thought it
would be a good idea to celebrate the 129th Birthday of our club in
style (it's the 110th year of the DA). Max Scott and his team from CTC’s East Midlands Region are delighted to
confirm a packed programmme for the Birthday Rides this year. Along
with the Birthday Tea in the parklands at Deene Park, a medieval manor, the
"J for Jazz" 6-piece band will provide live music and there will
also be Ceilidh in the historic Great Hall at Oundle School. Single, double
and family rooms are still available but don't delay. More information can

or you can phone Max on 01536 712507 If you would like to help, please contact Ray Clay Tel. 01509 261068 20 miles approximately and will visit TRIPONTIUM, a Hall circa 1690, plus ancient village site, over the HEMPLOW HILLS to WELFORD MARINA for lunch. More interesting sights on the return journey. This route is suitable for families and easy riders. 35 miles following the same route for a few miles, then diverting to LILBOURNE, WEST HADDEN, past BATTLE SITE 1645 on way to lunch at WELFORD MARINA.
